I wanted to share with you one of my favorite essential oils, well they are all my favorites, but this one I use frequently. It's actually up there with Melaleuca, Frankincense and Lavender, at least in my house, as the most used.
Arborvitae essential oil comes from the wood pulp of an Arborvitae tree and is steam distilled.
The top properties of this essential oil are antiviral, antifungal, antibacterial and stimulant. It helps to boost the cells to regenerate to promote a faster healing time. Seriously, this works wonders when it's mixed with Frankincense!
It has a nice clean smell. It's not woodsy like Cedarwood. It actually has a sweet smell. I wish you could smell it through the computer. haha
My favorite way to use this essential oil is to combine with the 3 essential oils I mentioned above. This is the Owie Spray blend that I mentioned back in June (HERE). I also added to my Everything But the Kitchen Sink blend, HERE.
Other ways to use this amazing oil are for respiratory, emotional balance and for sun exposure mixed with Helichrysum (like a sunscreen).
Fun Fact: Arborvitae trees can live for over 800 years. Arborvitae means Tree of Life.
