Calming Blend and Cardamom

First off I just want to say that I LOVE essential oils!! They have done so much for me and my family since we started using them. My husband was skeptical at first and but now he will ask me what I have that can him with whatever it is that he needs help with. In fact that’s what I wanted to share in this post.

Last night both of the girls were fussy and to wired up, especially my 2 year old. Holy Moly that girl is a ball of energy! She definitely gives us a run for our money, but we love her. Okay, so to calm them down I rubbed the Serenity blend on the bottom of Miss Summer’s feet, she’s my 2 year old, and then rubbed some on the baby. Miss S calmed down and went to bed not too whiny. The baby needed a little bit more to calm her down b/c she was a bit gassy so I also rubbed the new oil Cardamom on her belly. Within a few mins she was sound asleep!!

Melaleuca Essential Oil

I wanted to share my most recent experience with essential oils.

My daughter had a huge diaper blowout a few days ago that burned her bum and leg. :( Poor girl was miserable.

That night I had her soak in a bath of Epsom salt and Melaleuca oil for about 10 mins. Then before putting on her diaper I poured a couple drops of the Melaleuca oil directly on her burns and then covered them with Butt Paste, the Butt Paste helped to seal in the oil into the skin. The next morning those burns looked so much better. It's now Monday and her burns are pratically gone from applying a few drops of the Melaleuca oil in conjunction with the Butt Paste.

Melaleuca is a great essential oil to have in your Essential Oils kit. It has a variety of properties such as:
- antibacterial
- anit-infectious
- anti-inflammatory
- a strong antiseptic

It helps aid in occasional skin irritations, protects against environmental and seasonal threats and promotes healthy immune function.
